YouTube to be unblocked within 24 hours: Malik

ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Rehman Malik said on Friday that the government would unblock YouTube within 24 hours.

The minister said this in a message on Twitter, according to media reports. He said that the public had been urging the government to open the video-sharing website.

Rehman Malik said that the notification to unblock YouTube would be issued in the next 24 hours.

He added Pakistan Telecom Authority (PTA) has been preparing a software to unblock all kinds of blasphemous material.
