Where is the writ of the state?... By Safdar
24 December, 2012
The back to back incidents of killing of the alleged Quran desecrator in Dadu, Sindh, the attack on the assaulter of an ANP leader in Jinnah Hospital, Karachi, and the murder of senior provincial minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Bashir Bilour, is proof that Pakistani society has become radicalized to an extent that mob rule has replaced the rule of law. So far their success shows that the Pakistani state is losing its writ. If this situation is not averted at this stage, soon we would find people killing each other more frequently without giving any importance to the state or the law. Safdar Khan
