What is our counter-terrorism policy?... By Tassawar

The government arranged an All Parties Conference (APC) to counter terrorism. As a result, a resolution was passed that the government would engage in dialogue with the Taliban. After a few days, our government declared that the Taliban are stakeholders in the dialogue process. Now, it seems that there is confusion in national leadership and this is the reason for delaying the dialogue process. Another ambiguity lies in the fact that it is unclear which group of the Taliban will be taking part in the dialogue. There is confusion among the masses about our national leadership engaging in dialogue without having a counter-terrorism policy in place. The government seems to be lagging behind in any arrangements for peace talks but a counter-terrorism policy is the biggest need of the hour.
