Recent victory of West Indies cricket team in T20 world cup remind us past era of former west Indian greats Clive Lloyd and his team players. West indies ruled over cricket grounds almost twenty five years and won two consecutive world cup in 1975 and 1979. No one can forget great fast bowling of Michael Holding, Andy Roberts and Joel Garner, spin magic of Lawrence Gibbs and super batting of Vivian Richards and Brain Lara. After retirement of some key players sudden dawn fall of West Indies team started and last several years west Indies cricket team was not able to won any competition. According to cricket observers despite great past of cricket popularity of football and other sports prevent young generation to join cricket. Now after 33 years of gap west indies team won any world cup title. Due to past poor performance and lack of experience experts ranked West Indies cricket team seventh in recent T20 world cup but team performance was remarkable specially against cricket gains Australia in semi final and against Sri Lanka in Final Gale and Samuels hits 6 sixes each in semi final and final. True reality is that in presence of South Africa, Australia, Pakistan and India West Indies victory is astonishing for everyone. Credit goes to Chris Gale and Marlon Samuels and other young players who performed very well in under pressure circumstances.
