Warden slaps Umar Akmal after arguments over traffic violation

LAHORE: Cricketer Umar Akmal and a traffic warden scuffled on Saturday and the warden allegedly slapped the cricketer.

According to media reports, a traffic warden stopped Akmal's car for violating a traffic signal.

Akmal after introducing himself maintained that he crossed the signal on green light but the warden insisted that he violated the signal following which both got involved in heated arguments.

Later, both engaged in a brawl and the warden allegedly slapped Umar Akmal on the face. Akmal said he received a cut on his lip.

Akmal has reported the incident to higher authorities, who promised to investigate the incident.
