War and chemical weapons... By Hashmi

The United States has taken a 'moral' stand against the alleged use of chemical weapons in Syria by Bashar's forces. American needs to remember its own history as it was the first and only country that used a nuclear weapon when they dropped nuclear bombs on Japanese civilians twice. The alleged use of chemical weapons by Saddam Hussain, a US ally then, against Iran and against Kurds did not bother the US either but later it was used as an excuse to ruin Iraq!.
The US dropped Napalm bombs on Vietnam extensively and also exhausted uranium and white phosphorus in Iraq and Afghanistan causing a huge number of cancer cases and deformed babies. Israel also used phosphorus bombs on Gaza but US leaders justified it by saying Israel had the right to defend itself, even though one could not legally claim a right of self-defense while trying to retain possession of, and consolidating his hold on illegally-grabbed property, which is what Israel is doing.
And the US lost a few trillion dollars plus 5,000 soldiers dead and thousands disabled physically and mentally because of meddling in Iraq which proved disastrous for both countries. The USA fails to learn from their mistakes and like an immature delinquent continues to plan more wars. Can American and the American people take more wars? I hope like Germany and UK, citizens of US and France also stop their leaders from attacking Syria, which could further destabilise the region and earn the US more enemies causing tragedies like 9/11 and Fort Hood.
US and its allies could help mankind by putting their weight behind negotiations between Israelis and Palestinians to ensure creation of a viable Palestinian state and thus remove the cause of animosity between Israel and its neighbors, securing a peaceful future for them all and goodwill for America and its friends which could ensure peace in the world instead of the present state of wars and conflicts all around.
