From being the 6th largest country of the world by area to have more than 10,000 beaches, from world’s popular universities to research hubs, from warm hosts to delectable cuisines, from dangerous spiders to friendly koalas this country will amuse you at every step. You cannot stop counting its unique traits.

No doubt it is 3rd most popular country among international students and also a popular tourist attraction around the world.

Here are five leading reasons why you should Study in Australia?

1- World-Class Education System:
When it comes to the Australian education system, there is not a single thing that does not outclass. It is the world’s leading education powerhouse housing 8 out of the top 100 universities of the world. But that is not it.

In university system ranking, it comes on the 9th position leaving behind big guns like Germany and Japan. Australia has given 15 Noble Prize Laureates to the world, all thanks to its world-class education system.

What’s more? Australia is famous for its top-notch research hubs and has gifted the world with great discoveries and inventions like IVF, bionic ear, the vaccine for cervical cancer, Penicillin, Black Box Recorder, Ultrasound, Wi-fi, and the list goes on.

There are a total 43 universities in Australia and all of them are well equipped and offer all the variety to the students offering 2200 courses from different majors including arts and humanities, social sciences, engineering and technology, health and life sciences.

2- Laid Back and Friendly Environment:
7 Australian cities i.e. Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Gold Coast are among the top 30 student-friendly cities around the world with Melbourne securing the second position on the list year after year. One of the reasons is cultural diversity as people from all parts of the world live here.

According to a survey, 47% of people have one or even both of their parents belonging from outside of Australia. Aussie people are famous for their laid-back, warm and social nature.

Another reason is the common language English being spoken there. Also, the cities are full of pubs, gym, cafes, parks, and cinemas offering enough options to entertain the students.

3- Job Opportunities:
There are ample job opportunities for students during and after studies. During the studies, students are allowed to work 20 hours a week which can extend to an unlimited hour during semester breaks and vacations.

The universities also offer internships and work placements to students. The wages are also better as compared to other countries.

On top of that, Australia offers post-graduation work visa which allows students to work for 12 months after their graduation which is very uncommon among other countries. PYP i.e. professional year program is another opportunity that allows graduates to gain some professional experience.

4- Support Programs:
All of the Australian universities offer student support programs for international students as most of the universities have an international student support unit to solve the problems faced by the students in adjusting to the new country.

Student hotline is a popular support service offered by the Australian education system. Moreover, universities also arrange an orientation, counselling sessions, workshops, individual tutoring and preparation programs for students.

5- Beautiful Sceneries and Climate:
Breath-taking is the word best suited for the Australian landscape. It offers you every variety of nature. From bluest waters to white sandy beaches, from deserts to rain forests, from alps to great barrier reef you name it and you get it. It is a common saying in Australia that if you visit a beach daily during your 2-4 years stay, you won’t be able to see all of them.

Over and above that, it is home to many World Heritage Sites and also some top tourist spots of the world like Sydney Opera House, Bondi Beach, Fraser Island, Seven Sisters, and the list is never-ending. The climate here is also very pleasant thus allowing outdoor sports like snorkelling, cricket, and surfing.

If this wasn’t convincing enough to Study in Australia, I don’t know what would be!
