WB to help upgrade schools

03 January, 2014

KARACHI: Sindh government with World Bank support is focussed on improving infrastructure and relevant facilities in schools under Sindh Education Reform Programme (SERM).

Commissioner Karachi, Shoaib Ahmad Siddiqui, while chairing a meeting directed deputy commissioners to ensure close coordination with officers of their respective districts and help compile lists of schools that needed repair.

He told the DCs to provide the commissioner office with a list of five major schools (in terms of size and facilities) and another of those with a dismal status, pertaining to each district, by Friday.

End.
