Untrained English teachers in Balochistan

02 October, 2012

I want to draw the government's attention towards an important issue. The English teachers in Balochistan are not good enough to teach what they are meant to, i.e. English. They are extremely ill equipped with the nuances and skills needed to teach this global language. As a result, most students fail in English. There are many children who resort to cheating just to get through and pass in this subject — one they hardly understand. I hope somebody from the concerned authorities will realise the gravity of this situation and send trained English teachers to Balochistan to impart their knowledge and also to train the existing, incompetent teachers before we lag so far behind that we are beyond help.
