Umrah visas — at this time?... By Mubashir

05 January, 2013

Recently, there were news reports that the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJ) Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry went to Saudi Arabia to perform umrah. Justice Tassaduq Hussain Jilani was appointed as acting CJ when his honour, Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry, went to Saudi Arabia.

I would like to congratulate the CJ on performing umrah but I do wonder whether Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry was invited specially or given some special visa as umrah visas are closed nowadays and will start being issued from Rabi-ul-Awal.
