MIRANSHAH: At least four people were killed in a US drone strike in North Waziristan tribal region on Monday, security sources said. According to residents, one drone fired two missiles at a vehicle in Datta Khel of North Waziristan. The second U.S. drone launched two missile strikes at the house of a local tribesman man in the same area. There was no information about the identity of those killed in the strike. US officials claim that suspected militants are hiding in the region and also launch cross border attacks into Afghanistan from there. The United States resumed drone strikes after a two-month lull. There had been no US strike in Pakistan since mid-November after the relationship was badly hit by a NATO attack on two Pakistan border posts, killing 24 Pakistani soldiers. This is the third such air strike in North Waziristan this month. End.
