UAE to support KP developmental schemes

ISLAMABAD: The al- Zaroni Foundation UAE has offered to heavily contribute in the welfare activities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) by establishing quality education, health, institutions and other welfare schemes.
As per issued press statement, the offer was made on Saturday by Chairman al- Zaroni Foundation Sohail Ahmad al-Zaroni to Governor KP Eng. Shaukatullah Khan and Chief Minister (CM) Pervez Khattak in KP house Islamabad.
The foundation offered its services to work for cultural preservation, establishing universities, medical college, hospital, water supply schemes, and mosques and or any other welfare scheme(s) for the up-left of the poor both in KP and FATA.
Both the Governor and the CM welcomed and appreciated the offer and assured the government' full cooperation pointing out that poverty and unemployment has made the people of KP and FATA vulnerable to extremism, militancy and terrorism.
While both the Governor and the CM separately offered free lands for such welfare schemes, the former said that he will welcome the construction of mosque(s) in Bajaur, Swat, and South Waziristan.
The CM KP on this occasion also said that the Provincial Government was launching a Mega City on Motorways near the confluence of Mardan, Nowshera-Swabai districts and in case the al-Zaroni Foundation decides to establish a university, the KP Government can offer it free land there.
