Two youngsters die in mishap; 3 bodies found

LAHORE: Two youngsters died while three other injured when their car collided with an electricity pylon due to over speeding during rainy season in Township police area in the wee hours of Sunday.
The deceased were identified as Sohaib Ali, 22, son of senior lawyer of Supreme Court Nisar Ahmad and his cousin Rehman Ali. According to details, the victim Sohaib along with his brother and three cousins named Rehman Ali, Hassan Ali, Husaain and Rizwan were on their way in a car at around 2:15am when their car lost the control due to over speeding and first collided with an electricity pylon and the vehicle turned turtle near Akbar Chowk in the Township area.
Locals also informed the relevant police station as well as rescue teams about the incident. When informed, police and rescue teams reached the spot and pulled out the all injured persons from beneath the, which was completely damaged. The injured persons were taken to a nearby hospital where doctors pronounced Sohaib and Rehman dead, while the condition of other injured was said to be out of danger.
Separately, three men were found dead, whose identity could not be ascertained so far in Chung, Gawalmandi and Wadat Colony police areas.
Police claimed that the men, who are yet to be identified, initially seemed died due to cold weather or excessive use of drug but actual cause of death would be ascertained after post-mortem report. The bodies were shifted to mortuary for autopsy.
