Two policemen injured in Kohat blast

KOHAT: Two police personnel sustained injuries in a remote-controlled blast targeting a police van in a suburban area of Kohat on Saturday.

According to police, an improvised explosive device (IED) targeted a police van of Saddar Police Station in Shadikhel area of Kohat while it was on a routine patrol. As a result, two policemen were injured and the vehicle was damaged, sources said.

Police reached the site soon after the incident and started investigation. The Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) said that at least 10 kilogrammes of explosive material was used in the blast.
