DERA ISMAIL KHAN: At least two people were killed on Monday in a roadside remote-controlled bomb blast in Dera Ismail Khan.
According to a private TV channel, the explosion occurred in the Loni area of Dera Ismail Khan's Kolachi Tehsil, severely injuring two people. They were being shifted to the Dera Ismail Khan District Headquarters for medical treatment but succumbed to their injuries on the way. The victims were identified as Zainullah and Shamsur Rahman.
Following the explosion, a tip-off was received regarding more bombs in the area. A Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) team reached the site of the explosion and defused four bombs. Meanwhile, security personnel cordoned off the area, and a probe was initiated into the incident.
