Two held on corruption

HERAT: The anti-corruption authorities arrested two officials on charges of graft in Herat province, an official said. The anti-corruption authorities held an official revenue department while he had accepted $1000 bribe, the anti-corruption director for western zone, Muhammad Tahir Anbari, told the AIP.

He was being observed for the last one month, he added. Anbari added an official of the Herat irrigation department, Abdul Qadir, was also arrested red-handed while accepting bribe yesterday.
