Two dead as vehicle hits landmine

GHAZNI: Two civil order police were killed and as many wounded in a landmine explosion today in Deh Yak district of Ghazni province, an official said Friday.

Fazl Muhammad Sabawoon, spokesman for Ghazni province, told Afghan Islamic Press (AIP) that a vehicle of civil order police hit a landmine Khushk area of Deh Yak district late this morning.

He said two police were killed and two more wounded in the roadside bomb attack.

Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid claimed responsibility for the bomb attack and told AIP that four government troops were killed in the explosion.
