Tribal elder's son shot dead in Chaghai

QUETTA: As many as three people were killed and another was injured in a firing incident in Chaghai District on Thursday. Chaghai Deputy Commissioner Tufail Baloch told unidentified assailants opened fire on tribal elder Sardar Ali Mardan's son Raza Hasani in the main bazaar of the district. Hasani died on the spot and the killers fled from the scene. The Balochistan Levies and the Chaghai assistant commissioner rushed to the scene and cordoned off the area. The levies officials intercepted the assailants and opened fire on them, killing two of the attackers and injuring one of their accomplices. After the incident, the district was closed to mourn the killing of Mardan's son. "The motive behind the killing could not be ascertained," the deputy commissioner said. Separately, a man shot dead his brother in the Loni area of Duki and fled from the scene. The deceased was identified as Sher Ahmed. Meanwhile, a body was recovered from the mountains of Turbat. The body could not be identified until the filing of this report. End.
