Tired of the corruption... By Sadia

07 March, 2013

I am a resident of Jacobabad. We have applied for a pension GP fund and a six month salary in the district accounts office for our late father who passed away last year in the month of May.

However, all our documents are still in process due to a stated 'lack' of resources. We have never seen such a grossly corrupt office in our lives. Almost all the persons in the accounts office are involved in corruption. Their official office timings start after 12 pm. The clerks in the office first ask us to submit charges for the completion of any task — they even offer to increase the amount from the GP fund and the pension for a certain amount of money.

I appeal to the authorities to look into this issue and to help us poor people who are still waiting for their pensions after retirement and the deaths of their parents. Local newspapers are not highlighting this issue and so we are left on our own.
