Three ex-generals appear before NAB

ISLAMABAD: Three retired General officers appeared before the investigation team of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) at the NAB headquarters and recorded their statements on Thursday.

The generals are, Lt Gen (r) Javed Ashraf Qazi, Lt Gen (r) Saeeduz Zafar and Maj Gen (r) Hamid Hassan Butt. While civilian officials are, former Pakistan Railways member finance Khursheed Ahmad Khan and Pakistan Railways (PR) ex-GM (operations) Iqbal Samad Khan. Two civilian officers have been summoned on November 5 to appear before investigation team to record their statements, read a press release.

NAB had issued summons to the three retired generals and two civilian officers involved in the award of PR land on lease to the Royal Palm Golf Club allegedly at a throwaway price. NAB said investigation had entered final stage and would be completed shortly. app
