Three die as airport roof caves in

KABUL: Three Afghan workers died as roof a building caved-in at Bagram Airfiled, Bagram district, Parwan province, ISAF said Friday.

"Three Afghan employees of an Afghan company contracted by the International Security Assistant Force died when the roof of the building they were in collapsed at Bagram Airfield," the international force said in a statement. It said "There was no insurgent activity in vicinity of the airfield at the time of the accident," adding the cause of the accident was under investigation. ISAF did not disclose further identity of the deceased saying, "It is ISAF policy to defer casualty identification procedures to the relevant national authorities."

There was no word by Afghan authorities in this regard.
