Throughout history, the Armenian population has suffered tremendously from other nation's occupations.  The Armenians prospered under the Ottoman Turkish rule. They had freedom of religion, culture, and commerce, and they occupied many higher positions in Ottoman government.

During WWI, imperialist nations made promises of an independent country to the Armenian minority. Some of the Armenians looked at this as their opportunity and armed themselves against their own country (Ottoman Turks). Some of the Armenians voluntarily joined the Russian and French armies, and some of them were forced to support these imperialist forces.

This is what Former Armenian President HOVHANNES KATCHAZNOUNI stated in July of 1923 in Armenian assembly in Bucharest :

"In the Fall of 1914 Armenian volunteer bands organized themselves and fought against the Turks because they could not refrain themselves from organizing and refrain themselves from fighting.   This was in an inevitable result of a psychology on which the Armenian people had nourished itself during an entire generation"

"We had no doubt that the war would end with the complete victory of the Allies; Turkey would be defeated and dismembered, and its Armenian population would at last be liberated."

Most intelligent Armenians don't believe the genocide phenomena. Through the Dasnagtzouttiun party these imperialist nations used your ancestors for their benefits; now through the Diaspora they are trying to use you again. You may know that these imperialist nations are not in love with your black eyes and black eyebrows. These nation's interests are only their national needs. Without colonization, and sucking blood from other nations they can not survive and support their lifestyle. Every fish has its own bait, and they know what bait to use to attract your attention as well as mine. We need to stop charging at the red cape that they are waving in front of us. We should be intelligent enough to detect and eliminate the hands that are holding the cape; otherwise we will keep getting stabbed in the back.

Armenian genocide?

I think the Armenians may have been killed in large numbers during World War I as retaliation for their support against Turks and for fighting the Turks. However I believe the figures of Armenian dead could possibly be exaggerated. I do not know a lot about this issue.

How much did the Turks pay you?

What is your soul worth? How much did you accept from the lying, murderous Turks to sell yourself?

The Armenian Genocide is not disputed. A simple search on the web would have given you a wealth of information about the truth of the undeniable genocide.

Even Kemel Ataturk, condemned those who committed the Armenian Genocide. After the Etihad Party was disbanded, and the Young Turk regime fled Turkey, the then governemnt led by Ataturk found the Young Turk regime guilty of genocide and condemned those responsible for it to death.

How sad that as a journalist you failed to live up to the golden rule of journalism "Check your facts"

The true story is that the Turks murdered the Armenian nation!

I am disgusted that people like Karahan would publish a story like this. The history of what happened is very clear and documented by witnesses. Armenians were an integral part of Byzantine society in Anatolia for over 1000 years before the Turks conquered the area. They survived and prospered because they educated themselves and worked very hard. They had the right of self-determination and the right to recover their homeland that had been taken by the Turks. When liberation from the Turkish Empire was at hand they were massacred in one of the most diabolical crimes against humanity. Modern Turks should come clean and repent for the sins of their grandparents so they can be forgiven and join the respectable nations of the world.

Facts reveal truth, indian pig

It is ignorant people like you who keep supporting the fake claims of the Armenians and as a result they will continue to pay the price of deceit. Nobody will ever take an inch of our wonderful lands, no Armenian, no Indian. Proud he is who is born a TURK

red cape of blood

So who did the killing ?... imperialists! or war criminals. Its obvious that the truth hurts, after all the the us doesn't like to be reminded how it treated its native american or blacks when it speaks of freedom, likewise the Japanese treatment of Chinese...etc. After all Turkey once was in emperialist country too, and likewise used the same tactics as others to silence opposition, "might makes right" the cruelist cut of all is that the victor gets to write the "his story" book and put "himself" in a nice light. After they have taken everything, all they have left is their story. Do you have a big enough carpet to sweep it under?
