Malala Yousafzai, the brave young girl from Swat who fought for female empowerment through education, has undergone reconstructive surgery to her skull and is on her way to full recovery. She may be out of the hospital ward but she is not out of danger. The Taliban still have a bounty on her head and the country is still fighting the same demons that she was. However, what is encouraging is the fact that our nation's daughter has fought this battle and has not lost her heart and will to go on. This country's liberal and progressive forces wish her all the very best. SOHAIL KHAN
