The only excitement for the Pakistani nation these days is the One Day International (ODI) series with India. Will our country be able to bring the big trophy home? That is the question on everyone's mind. The dazzling performance of our team is creating hope once again for every citizen of Pakistan. Everyone hopes that Pakistan will crush all its opponents and come home the winner. A country like Pakistan, which is surrounded by terrorism and gas and electricity shortages, rests all its dreams on cricket. This sport is uniting the people and decreasing our differences. People are coming closer once again. All the depressions and frustrations because of the current scenario of Pakistan seem to fade away under the spell of cricket. Let us just hope that this ODI series binds the nation together again and helps us in forgetting all the sad incidents that our country has been through recently. Let us pray that our team exhibits the best of its abilities and does not let us down. May this series also help in strengthening our relationship with India. NIDA RAHIM
