The dengue virus...By Sidra

Dengue fever, caused by a specific female mosquito, is spreading rapidly these days in Pakistan. The very first dengue patient was diagnosed in Karachi, and then this ailment started spreading to other cities in Pakistan. The large garbage dumps, stagnant water and low quality mosquito control sprays create ideal conditions for mosquitoes to breed and prosper. The weather is changing but the dengue virus continues to affect people in the province of Sindh. The government has only made bogus commitments about the eradication of dengue virus and cure of its victims but, in reality, patients have to suffer a lot for proper treatment.
In the current year, more than 4,000 cases of dengue virus have been reported from only the province of Sindh. In Karachi, the condition of hygiene and cleanliness is in a terrible state. It is a request to the concerned authorities to consider the matter carefully to save our lives.
