The YDA protests... By Sohail

22 January, 2013

The Young Doctors Association (YDA) has once again decided to seal the fate and health of the public by resorting to strikes and no-shows in the hospital wards. They have forsaken their duty and have left the poor patients to deal with their illnesses and injuries themselves.

Most government hospitals are already in such deplorable condition that such strikes only add to their woes. Without the doctors being present to treat the patients, they have nowhere else to turn. I do not know nor do I care too much about their demands because, at the end of the day, it is the citizens who are suffering.

I implore the YDA to stop protesting at the cost of the patients who need them more than they need their service structure.
