There has been a Turkish invasion! While it may not be in the conventional sense, the Turks have really taken over Pakistan and, well, I cannot complain! Our country is on the fast track towards establishing goods relations with this Muslim country and our media has discovered that it really pays to indulge in some good old-fashioned gloss. Turkish soaps are all the rage here with many of them being dubbed in Urdu. I must say, the stars of these shows are extremely good looking and polished. The men and women are epitomes of glamour and dazzling good looks. Compared to the local offerings, can one really blame our pubic for salivating over the Turks? ADNAN KHAN
