The Lahore Literature Festival... By Saira

25 February, 2013

For the first time ever, Lahore has been treated to an event of complete civility and refined tastes. The Lahore Literature Festival is in full swing with the likes of Mohsin Hamid, Bapsi Sidhwa and Nadeem Aslam participating. In the midst of all the terrorism and bloodshed, it has been heartening to see that the halls have been full with people with hardly any room to spare. This just goes to show that people in this country are starving for some intellectual entertainment.

I hope this becomes a regular event and that more such activities are promoted in the near future.
