Textbooks and the curriculum... By Sajda

08 January, 2013

The school curriculums have got to change. When one looks at the textbooks currently being used in public schools, a shiver runs down one's spine. From history to English, maths to science, everything is in disarray. Facts are distorted and logic is underplayed.

Too much focus is given to Urdu and religious studies, with hardly any importance given to those subjects with which children can actually move ahead later on in their professional lives.

I implore the government to deploy a special taskforce to look into curriculum development.
