Talal invites political parties to form grand political alliance

ISLAMABAD: Jamhoori Watan Party (JWP) chief Talal Akbar Bugti has advised to form a grand political alliance for general elections and invited all the political parties to lend a hand to pull the country out of the present crisis.
Addressing the 'Meet The Press' programme here at National Press Club here on Monday, he added that he was in contact with various religious and political elements for the formation of the proposed alliance.
"Pakistan requires an Imam Khomeini for getting rid of all dangers being faced to its solidarity", he hinted. He suggested if all the demands of Baloch people were met then he himself would persuade the Baloch leaders residing abroad to come back and join national political stream. "Loyalty of the Baloch with Pakistan is above board and those who try to portray the Baloch as foes of Pakistan are themselves dishonest," said Bugti.
However, he declared he would not take part in the elections until FC, ISI and MI leave the province.
Talal Bugti said Gen (r) Pervez Musharraf had brought a bad name for the army by adopting wrong policies, adding Akbar Bugti murder case should be reopened in a Balochistan court.
Talal said that the current situation of Balochistan is worse than that of West Pakistan in 1971. He said the Baloch are struggling to get their rights, adding that the people of Balochistan have no complaints against the people of Punjab.
"We shall achieve our rights with the active support and help of Punjab which is our elder brother," he said.
Bugti said the people of all provinces were "tied with the thread of brotherhood, love and bilateral respect for each other".
"They will fail the enemies of Pakistan," he said, adding, "Terrorists who have killed the people of Hazara and Punjab in Balochistan are yet to be apprehended."
Bugti also called for an end to "army operation in Balochistan".
Earlier, Bugti had formed an alliance with Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Ejaz Ul Haq and Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan, for resolving the national issues in general and Balochistan issue in particular.
