Talal Bugti to form grand political alliance

08 October, 2012

ISLAMABAD: Jamhoori Watan Party (JWP) chief Talal Akbar Bugti has announced forming a grand political alliance for general elections.

Talking to reporters after a meeting with nuclear scientist Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan, Bugti expressed his concerns that he would not be allowed to succeed in his political endeavours.

He said that he was in contact with various religious and political elements for the formation of the proposed alliance. He said Akbar Bugti murder case should be reopened in a Balochistan court.

Separately, speaking to PML-Z chief Ejazul Haq and Pakistan Amn Party President Gulzar Awan, Bugti said loyalty of the Baloch with Pakistan is above board and those who try to portray the Baloch as foes of Pakistan are themselves dishonest.

He said the Baloch are struggling to get their rights, adding that the people of Balochistan have no complaints against the people of Punjab.

"We shall achieve our rights with the active support and help of Punjab which is our elder brother," he said.

Bugti said the people of all provinces were "tied with the thread of brotherhood, love and bilateral respect for each other".

"They will fail the enemies of Pakistan," he said, adding, "Terrorists who have killed the people of Hazara and Punjab in Balochistan are yet to be apprehended."

Bugti also called for an end to "army operation in Balochistan".

Ejazul Haq and Gulzar Awan vowed to support Bugti over the issue of Balochistan. "The people of Punjab and Balochistan are bound in love and affection and no one can part them from one another," they said, adding that they would support the Baloch for their rights.

End.
