Syed Ali Shah Geelani ailing, to be flown to Delhi

NEW DELHI: The condition of ailing octogenarian leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani has deteriorated and he may be flown to Delhi, Indian media reported, quoting Hurriyat on Wednesday.

"He complained of pain and ache and is uneasy," Hurriyat (G) spokesperson Ayaz Akbar said.

Gilani is facing with a number of ailments and we are planning to shift him to Delhi oospital,” forum spokesman Mohammad Ayaz Akbar told media men adding “We appeal people to pray for his recovery.

”The 87-year old Syed Ali Gilani returned from New Delhi last week and was arrested and put under house arrest.

He is suffering from severe chest infection and they are planning to shift him to Delhi again for better treatment, he added.
