LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has said the state is "sucking the blood of the masses", while his party is standing with them in these circumstances.

Talking to a private news channel, Imran Khan said ex-chief justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry took notice of many issues, but did not took notice of PTI's complaints regarding rigging in the general elections, which saddened him. The PTI chief alleged that the PML-N came into power with the help of rigging, not with votes. He said transparent elections were not possible until the people involved in casting bogus votes are brought to the book. He said the PTI wants the local bodies' elections in Punjab under the supervision of the judiciary to foil the "planning of massive rigging in these elections".

Imran Khan said the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government will not open the NATO supply route. He said the protest against drone attacks has entered into a very crucial phase. "We need to decide now either to serve America or live with dignity," he said. Imran said he will thank God if the US stopped assistance to Pakistan. Referring to his recent meeting with the European envoys in which they told him that they give money to Pakistan, he said, "I asked them whether you will allow us to conduct drone attacks in your countries in return for money?"

The PTI chief said the electricity bills have been doubled, which is a 'Jagga Tax' imposed by the government. Imran Khan said if JUI-F chief Fazlur Rehman has doubt about the results of any constituency then he is welcome to point it out and assured that votes will be verified in that constituency.

Separately, while addressing the convocation of Namal College near Mianwali, Imran said the dream of development cannot be materialised without promoting quality education in the country.

Imran Khan said the PTI government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is utilising all available resources to provide quality education to students in schools and colleges. He said the PTI will continue its struggle for a corruption-free society. He said that sovereignty of the country can only be safeguarded by achieving self-sufficiency in economy and other sectors.

End.
