Srinagar-Jammu Highway closed

05 February, 2013

Srinagar: In occupied Kashmir, the Srinagar-Jammu Highway connecting the Kashmir Valley to the rest of the world was closed, Monday, due to heavy snowfall.

A traffic police official told media men that due to heavy snowfall in Banihal-Jawahar tunnel in Qazigund and slippery condition of the road, the vehicular movement on the Highway has been suspended till further orders.

The reopening of the Highway depends on weather and road condition, he added.

End.
