Solution of Balochistan lies in fair elections: Kaira

LALAMUSA: Information Minister Qamar Zaman Kaira has said solution of Balochistan's problems lies in free, fair and transparent elections. Talking to reporters on Saturday, Kaira urged Baloch political leaders and the people of the province to fully participate in the next general election. He said the Election Commission of Pakistan was impartial and Baloch leaders should give suggestions to it. To a question, he said no operation was being carried out in Balochistan, adding that if anyone has any evidence, it should be provided to the media, judiciary or the government. Kaira said the government granted provincial autonomy for administrative solution of Balochistan. He said excesses were not only committed with Balochistan, but the PPP has also been a victim from time to time. But, he said, the party has never talked of parting from the federation. The minister said they welcomed the return of Sardar Akhtar Mengal from abroad. End.
