Pakistan is going through one of its most terrifying times — a time of violence, upheaval, intolerance, looting and blatant acts of indiscriminate terror. Just last week so many Shias were murdered in cold blood in Quetta as the most recent testament to our current state. In all this horror, so many Pakistanis belonging to the 'elite' strata of our society still find the time to host exhibitions, parties, events and festivities. They smile for the cameras and have their pictures published in a variety of social/entertainment rags amidst all this carnage. This is a time for all Pakistanis to stand together as one nation, as one people. Why are the educated, wealthy and resourceful so without the humanity required to observe this as a dark time in Pakistan's history? I pray they enlighten themselves soon. SHIKOH KHAN
