Six private security firms dissolved

HERAT: Six private security companies have been dissolved and 1200 weapons and three tonnes of explosives collected from them in western Afghanistan, an official said Wednesday.

Addressing a press conference in Herat, the deputy interior minister Lieutenant General Abdul Rehman Rehman said the security firms, including Jaifa and Arya, had been dissolved From Ghazni to Herat.

He said some of these firms were involved in incidents of insecurity, adding their owners would be dealt sternly if they were found guilty.
