Sirajul Haq meet Imran Khan

Islamabad: Ameer Jamaat e Islami Sirajul Haq, called on the PT chairman Imran Khan, at his residence in Islamabad on Wednesday, and discussed with him the political situation obtaining in the country. Later while talking to the media, the JI chief said the issues could be decided at the negotiating table only and not on roads and crossings. He said that both the parties were willing for dialogue and there remained no big hurdle in the way now, therefore the two sides should begin meaningful talks in order to pull the country out of crisis.
Sirajul Haq said if the government was ready to set up a judicial commission, the main issue would stand resolved. He said the nation wanted result oriented talks without more delay, as such the two sides should step forward in that direction. He said that public meetings and processions were the beauty of democratic order as these helped create awakening among the public. The JI chief pointed that even Imran Khan had agreed that the Prime Minister would remain in his office till the report of the judicial commission however, the PTI would continue its sit-in.
In reply to a question, the JI chief said the issue of the Chief Election Commissioner's appointment had not come under discussion at their meeting. PTI leader Inamul Haq also addressed the media at the occasion. Meanwhile, the Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly, Syed Khurshid Shah, contacted the JI chief by phone and exchanged views with him on the appointment of the CEC. The JI chief told the Opposition leader that all politicall parties should be taken into confidence in this regard.
