16 October, 2012
ISLAMABAD: Interim report of Shoaib Suddle Commission on Monday submitted in the Supreme Court, which stated that Interior Ministry and Malik Riaz have not cooperated with the commission.
A two-member bench comprising Justice Jawad S. Khawaja and Justice Khilji Arif Hussain heard the plea seeking extension in duration of Shoaib Suddle Commission.
Interim report stated that behavior of police officers was not appropriate while all the record has been summoned from the FBR and Securities Exchange Commission and experts will be employed after receiving that record.
The apex court ruled that review petition by Malik Riaz and plea seeking for extension of Suddle Commission will be heard at the same time on Tuesday.
Zahid Bukhari, counsel of Malik Riaz said that they do not accept Suddle Commission and they have told all reasons for not appearing before the commission in the review petition.
"We want that our review petition and plea seeking for extension in the commission to be heard at the same time", Bukhari added.
On behalf of the government, Deputy Attorney General Shafi Muhammad Chandio told SC that government does not have any objection over extension in the duration of commission.
It is pertinent to mention that Malik Riaz has not appeared before the Suddle Commission and regarded it as an unconstitutional commission.
