Shabbir Shah, Naqash arrested after addressing rally in IHK

SRINAGAR: In occupied Kashmir, Indian police have arrested senior APHC leader, Shabbir Ahmad Shah and other Hurriyet leaders including, Muhammad Yousuf Naqash when they were on their way to express solidarity with the families of a martyred youth in Shopian, who was recently martyred by Indian troops.
Earlier Shabbir Ahmad Shah and Muhammad Yousuf Naqash while addressing a big protest demonstration at Lalchhipore in Pulwama, today, urged the international community to impress upon India to withdraw its troops from the occupied territory.
They said that the move would pave the way for settlement of the Kashmir dispute through tripartite talks.
Their addresses were punctuated by pro-freedom and anti-India slogans. Several people were injured when troops opened fire on protesters in Pulwama. The Indian troops had martyred a youth, Imtiaz Ahmad Taili during siege and search operation in the area, recently.
On the other hand, Indian authorities continued to impose strict reactions in Pulwama, today. However, people took to the streets against the indiscriminate firing on peaceful civilians by Indian troops in Pulwama.
