Sewerage system... By Bilal

19 September, 2012

Rain is supposed to be a blessing to be enjoyed but the sewerage system in Pakistan makes it into a problem and a source of agony for people. Usually, after the rain, it is not the rainwater but sewerage that keeps the road wet. Dirty water stays there for months because the metropolitan department remains silent and does not show any inclination to take care of the problem.

This water becomes the cause of malaria, dengue, diarrhoea and other life threatening diseases. Besides spending money on different sprays for dengue, the government should focus on sewerage systems, which are a big source of disease.

I appeal to the government and the concerned departments to look into this serious issue and rid us of it.
