Seven BLA men killed in targeted operation

QUETTA: As many as six alleged members and a commander of the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) were killed and several others were arrested by the Frontier Corps (FC) in a targeted operation in the Mangochar area of Kalat district, some 140 kilometres southeast of Quetta, on Thursday.

An official handout by the FC said that a search operation had been carried out in Mangochar on the complaints of locals. "A BLA commander along with his six companions were killed in a gunfire, and several others were arrested," the statement said, adding that the BLA commander was involved in killing of settlers, bomb blasts and kidnapping for ransom in Quetta.
