Security forces seize arms, ammunition

MINGORA: Security forces have seized arms and ammunition from mountains and agricultural farms during search operations in Shangla and Torghar districts. The arms and ammunition were presented before the media at Khawazakhela and included rocket launchers and other heavy weapons. The arms and ammunitions were recovered from caves, farms and other areas of the bordering areas of districts Shangla and Torghar districts. Briefing media, Pakistan Army spokesman Colonel Shahid said that the arms and ammunition was recovered during search operations conducted by military. The arms and ammunitions, he said, included 21 G-3, 4 G-2 and 9 riffles, eight 60MM mortar shells and 27 different kind of riffles and 19 pistols, 12 rocket launchers, 14 sub-machine guns, three remote-controlled bombs and huge cache of cartridges and explosive materials. He said the military will continue to maintain peace and foil the nefarious designs of terrorists. End.
