SNGL to disconnect supply to PML-N textile mills for stealing gas

ISLAMABAD: Sui Northern Gas Limited (SNGL) has decided to snap gas connection of textile mills owned by Asim Nazir PML- N MNA at Faisalabad on charges of stealing of gas. SUI Northern Gas Pipelines Limited official said that Maqsood Textile Mills is jointly owned by Asim Nazir, a PML-N MNA and his brother Shahid Nazir and the management of the mill is using gas from commercial connection of adjoining bakery as commercial consumers are exempted from gas load management like domestic consumers, says media report. The SNGL will also hold inquiry into alleged involvement of mills management into stealing of the gas. On the condition of anonymity official said management of Maqsood Textile Mills is stealing gas through commercial connection since the last three years and they have calmed Sui Northern officials because of his political clout.
