Resolving Balochistan issue... By Chakar

29 June, 2012

At the present juncture, Balochistan is suffering from a deteriorating law and order situation. It has long been a tinderbox that can be set ablaze by the smallest of sparks. The federal and provincial governments jointly arranged a package known as the Aghaaz-e-Haqooq-e-Balochistan package.

However, for prevention of insurgency and maintenance of peace, they have appointed 5,000 youths in the education department. Two years have elapsed and all appointed teachers are serving on temporary basis by receiving minor salaries. It is clear that the powerful parties are not serious about solving the knotty issue of Balochistan. Therefore, it has become a no-go province for them. Here, I would like to draw the attention of the authorities concerned to resolve this issue of Balochistan as soon as possible. It is imperative to declare all appointed teachers are on a permanent basis and issue their legitimate allowances. Their salaries too need to be incremented because of inflation.
