ISLAMABAD: With the wrapping up of current government on March 16, Interior Minister Rehman Malik has started vying for new lucrative posts, which includes advisor to president post.

Reliable sources told Online, that Rehman Malik is now days searching for a new job in the interim set up, and had even attempted to get the CM Sindh or Governor Sindh job.

For this purpose he even went to London to meet MQM Quaid Altaf Hussain to get his 'ashirvad' but all failed on this front.

After falling flat on his face, Malik known as funny and controversial PPP leader and Minister has now started lobbying for the post of Advisor to President.

According to sources, although the chances of Rehman Malik getting this post are quite slim but knowing Rehman Malik's track record he has the knack of making impossible into possible and does not accept defeat.

Lady luck had always been on his side as Malik was made an adviser on interior affairs and narcotics control to the PPP Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani, with the status of Federal Minister. He was later upgraded as Interior Minister of Pakistan

On June 4, his membership of the Senate was suspended by the Supreme Court for being a dual national. This resulted in loss of his position as the Interior Minister but he was made advisor on internal affairs and managed to keep his power and clout.

End.
