Registrar SC likely to be fired following CJ's retirement

ISLAMABAD: Registrar, Supreme Court of Pakistan, Dr. Faqir Hussain is likely to be fired from his post following the retirement of Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry.

Well-placed sources told it is most probably expected that Secretary Law and Justice Commission Ikhlaq Ahmad would be the new Registrar of Supreme Court.

Earlier, Dr. Faqir Hussain's contract was extended; however, he is being removed following the retirement of CJP Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry.

Sources added Ikhlaq Ahmad likely to assume the charge of Registrar on 12th of this month.
