LAHORE: Awami League chief Sheikh Rashid has said economic disaster is likely to come within 10 to weeks.

If the country sound sleeps, the cruel rulers would perish it for their lustful desires, said popular leader. While talking to the media in Lahore, he said that all institutions are going to be collapsed with the passage of time, leaving no hope for salvation.

"I come to the conclusion that if Lahories do not wake, the entire nation would sound sleep", said Rashid.

He said that he would like to make the ruling class understand about ups and downs of crucial situation. He deplored that national resources are mercilessly being wasted in the name of so-called welfare projects. The Punjab government is using national exchequer for hollow purposes which would bring negative results rather than creative and positive ends.

He said that Awami League has decided to arrange a public rally tomorrow at Gawalmandi for awareness of the people. "I have directed the party worker to remain calm and composed and express civilizational attitude during public gathering.

"If something wrongful or violent is occurred, the government of the Punjab would be responsible for that mismanagement", said renowned public leader.

End.
