Quetta mosque blast kills two

QUETTA: Two people were killed and 17 others injured in a bomb blast in a mosque in Gausabad area of Satellite Town on Thursday.

According to Quetta Deputy Commissioner Hashim Gilzai, the bomb was planted inside Farooqia Mosque. "Around 400 to 500 people were offering Asr prayers when an explosive device went off," said Ajmal Mustafa, a witness. "The bomb was fixed to a pillar of the mosque."

According to Bomb Disposal Squad, around four to five kilogrammes of explosive material were used in the bombing, which also damaged the mosque partly. The deceased were identified as Mohsin and Inayatullah. The deceased and injured were taken to Provincial Sendman Hospital.
