Qaim mocks Pagara's titles for Sharifs
27 February, 2013
KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah has "congratulated" Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif on being given the titles "Takht-e-Punjab" and "Takht-e-Lahore" by Pir Pagara during their visit to Sindh on Tuesday. Qaim Ali Shah pointed out that during a joint news conference Pir Pagara described Nawaz Sharif (who was standing on his left side) and Shahbaz Sharif (who was standing on his right) as Takht-e-Punjab and Takht-e-Lahore, respectively. Talking to a delegation of the PPP office-bearers of Sindh, the Sindh chief minister thanked Pir Pagara for giving these titles to the Sharif duo which, he said, shows they are confined to Punjab and Lahore. Qaim Ali Shah asked how could the Sharif brothers do something good for the people of Sindh when their own allies from Sindh are giving them titles of Takht-e-Punjab and Takht-e-Lahore, which shows that they have a narrow vision and a limited political agenda which is confined to the province of Punjab. The Sindh chief minister said the alliances Nawaz is making in Sindh for the upcoming general elections won't help him bag even a single seat from Sindh. End.
